Let us come together in prayer and counsel for this situation. No specific name was provided, hnless it refers to the aquainted person, so eventually either she or he will be used or a nameless idenitifier method.

Firstly, it is wonderful to see the support for a loved one's career. However, we must ensure that our prayers and actions align with God's will. The Bible tells us, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. Instead of focusing on a specific assignment in sport medicine or a specific city, we will pray that God's will be done in our loved one's career and that they are guided to a place where they can serve Him best.

Secondly, we must address the mention of love and a stronger relationship outside of marriage. The Bible is clear that romantic relationships should be reserved for marriage between a man and a woman. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB. Therefore, we will pray for guidance and strength to resist temptation and for a godly spouse to be provided. The priority should be that both individuals are saved Christians.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our loved one. We pray that Your will be done in their career. Guide them to the place where they can serve You best. If it is Your will that they work in sports medicine, so be it. If it is Your will that they live in the city, so be it, otherwise please guide them to the place they can serve you best.

We also pray for the relationship. We pray that both individuals would put You first in their lives. We have not been provided that they are either saved Christians. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Without the belief in Jesus Christ we cannot be saved and therefore cannot have eternal life. We therefore pray that they believe in Jesus Christ if they do not. We pray that their relationship would be pure and honoring to You. We pray that if it is Your will, You would provide godly spouses for them both.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, knowing that God loves us and wants what is best for us. Continue to trust in Him and His plan for the loved one's life and relationship. God said I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope, Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. Therefore, trust that He has a good plan for the loved one.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
