Let's pray for financial breakthroughs for Geeshaw. "The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty." (Mal 3:10) Trusting God's provision: "My God shall supply all your need." We can have any one of at least four different reactions to Jesus' demands in our lives:
- We can respond to his convicting truths with harsh anger and fury,
- we can ignore Jesus' words and treat them as irrelevant,
- we can rationalize away those demands so that we can play like we are Jesus-followers without really being disciples, or
- we can obey, and show by our lives that we truly believe he is Lord.
Today's Prayer
Father, thank you for sending Jesus to speak and reveal your truth. Keep my heart open to that truth so that it will flourish and bring changes to my life as I obey the Lord Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
