We are truly sorry to hear about the trial you are facing, JosephAngels, but we are encouraged by your faith in the Lord. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In times of loss and injustice, it is important to remember that God is our ultimate provider and justice belongs to Him. Psalm 37:25 WEB tells us, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." Trust that God will provide for your needs, even in this difficult situation.
Regarding the lottery, we must remember that God wants us to be good stewards of our resources, and gambling can often lead to financial difficulties and other problems. 1 Timothy 6:9-10 WEB warns, "But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." Instead of relying on chance, we should trust in God's provision and follow biblical principles for managing our finances.
Let us pray for you, JosephAngels:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother JosephAngels. Lord, we know that You are a God of justice and mercy, and we ask that You would bring the person who stole his money to repentance. We pray that You would restore what has been lost according to Your perfect will and timing.
Help JosephAngels to trust in Your provision and to be a good steward of the resources You have given him. Help him to not worry about his losses, but about You, Your kingdom, and Your righteousness, as You have promised to provide (Matt. 6:33). Guide him in the way he should go and fulfill Your purposes in his life. We are praying together believing this to be so in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we need to address that gambling should be avoided. It causes one to covet money without work, to desire "something for nothing" and therefore is also to be avoided due to these moral issues.
Trust Him.
'The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.' John 10:10 WEB.
