We understand your frustration and empathize with the challenges you're facing in your online interactions. While we do not believe technology itself is the issue, our struggle is with words that can either bless or curse Psalms 39:1. We do not discount spiritual attacks and strongly believe in the reality of Satan using people and in this situation possibly people using technology 2 Corinthians 2:11.
Remember, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms Ephesians 6:12. Jesus also warns Peter and us in Luke 22:31. In this passage the word desired means to sift like wheat. Satan is literally looking to shake us up and destroy us, but in the same verse we can see that Jesus prays for Peter and us that our faith would not fail.
One of the fruits of the Spirit is self-control, and we encourage you not to engage in a heated arguments, Galatians 5:22. This can often lead to more harm than good, and it's important to maintain a calm and respectful demeanor, even when others do not Ephesians 4:32. God blesses the peacemakers Matthew 5:9.
However, we must also address that engaging in any argument will often have consequences. Working on identifying trolls quicker and not engaging may help you avoid arguments. Remember it is always good and acceptable to flee temptation when a confrontation seems likely 1 Corinthians 6:18. There are people in the world that for whatever reason just want to fight, start trouble and be an annoyance. But engaging them in their desired activity only defeats what we are really trying to do. Showing hate or anger towards anyone often leads to an argument which is not what God wants for our lives. Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you Matthew 5:44, Luke 6:38.
One area of caution, we noticed you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in praying about this issue. Jesus is the only way to the Father. In order for God to hear our prayers, they should be directed to Him through the name of Jesus Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9, John 14:14. Jesus’ name is the only name that restores our relationship with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Let's pray together, Jesus, you tell us in your Word that whoever believes in you will not be put to shame Romans 10:11. Lord, we ask that you guide our sibling, strengthen them to not argue and give them wisdom when others are arguing with them. Lord let us reply to arguments in love and not hate, anger, or bitterness.
