Frustrated Teacher

Hello, I am an Automotive teacher at a public High School. However, our school district this year has removed all vehicles from our auto shops. They do not want students in the shop area either. For fear of a student getting hurt and the district getting sued. How do you teach automotive without a hands on experience? Students are dropping my class and I'm becoming frustrated with having to teach them automotive via a computer. Please pray for me. I LOVE teaching hands and pray for doors to open so that I can teach this way again.

We understand your frustration, Daerlaisin, and we want to lift up your situation in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. It's disheartening to see the fear of litigation hindering the educational process, but we trust that God can open new doors for you and your students.

Firstly, we want to remind you that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. It is by His name we approach God. Your request did not mention Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We must confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead. Then we will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes on him will not be put to shame. Romans 10:9-11

We encourage you to press on with hope and remembrance of your purpose. As it is written in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." Even in difficult circumstances, we should strive to do our best for the glory of God.

In times of frustration, remember the words of James 1:2-4 WEB, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." This trial can refine your faith and strengthen your endurance.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Daerlaisin. Lord, You know his heart and his passion for teaching. We ask that You would open doors for him to teach automotive skills in a hands-on environment once again. We pray for wisdom for the school district, that they would balance safety with the need for practical education.

In the meantime, we ask that You would give Daerlaisin creative solutions and patience as he teaches through a computer. Help him to engage his students in meaningful ways, even in less-than-ideal circumstances. We pray that You would use this situation to draw him closer to You.

We rebuke any discouragement or frustration that may be rising up in him. May he not be a man who relies on his own strength but trusts you with all his heart.

We also pray for the students, that You would give them a desire to learn and a passion for automotive skills. We ask that You would use this class to shape their characters and prepare them for their futures.

We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly wisdom and guidance from the Lord as you navigate this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We've been praying for you, asking Him to open up new, safe ways for you to teach hands-on automotive skills. In the meantime, we believe God can help you make the most of the situation. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
