We are glad to join you in prayer, Ogechi, as you seek the Lord's blessing for children in your marriage. We stand in faith with you, believing that God has the power to open wombs and grant the desires of hearts that are turned towards Him.
Firstly, we acknowledge that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As it is written in Psalm 127:3-5 WEB: "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won't be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate."
We pray, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up Ogechi and her husband. Lord, You know the depths of their hearts and the sincerity of their request. We ask, Father, that You touch Ogechi's womb and make it a place of abundant life. Grant her the ability to conceive and bring forth children who will love, serve, and honor You all the days of their lives. We pray that by this time next year, Ogechi will be carrying her bundles of joy, and that her home will be filled with the sound of laughter and the patter of little feet.
However, we must also remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB: "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'"
Therefore, while we pray for Ogechi's request, we also pray that she and her husband will trust in God's perfect will and timing. We ask that they will find peace, joy, and contentment in their marriage, regardless of the outcome of this prayer. We pray that they will continue to seek God's face, grow in their love for Him, and be a testimony of His goodness and faithfulness. In addition we will acknowledge the blessing of having multiple children but ultimately acknowledge Gods will.
Lastly, we must remember that God is ultimately sovereign over all things, and He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
So, Ogechi, we encourage you to trust in God's perfect will and timing.
