Lucy, thank you for your prayer request, and we appreciate that it is in Jesus Christ's name. It is wonderful that you are seeking the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life, and this is always a priority for believers. Let us pray together for you and your children.
We are reminded in Galatians 5:22-23 WEB:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
First, we commend you for desiring these godly qualities in your life. This is a testament to your dedication and it is a good thing to seek God's help in cultivating them. It is only through the Holy Spirit that we can bear these fruits, and it is important to remember that they are a result of our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Since you wish to bless your children, we are reminded of the scripture in Proverbs 22:6 WEB:
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
We pray that God will grant you the patience, kindness, and wisdom needed to guide your children in their learning and in their walk with Him. May they grow in understanding and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Lucy and her children. Lord, we ask that You fill Lucy with more of Your love, joy, and peace. Help her to be more patient, longsuffering, gentle, kind, good, meek, faithful, and self-controlled. May the fruit of the Holy Spirit be evident in her life, and may she look to Jesus for these to be produced and not in her own strength.
Father, we also pray for Lucy's children. Grant them understanding in their studies and a desire to learn. We ask that You guide them in their walk with You and that they may grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Help Lucy to have the patience and wisdom needed to guide her children and be a godly example to them.
May Lucy be a reflection of Christ to those around her and to her children. And may her children be a reflection of Christ to their friends and family. This we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
