Friendship

Please pray over my friendships. A person I know is so spiritually connected to Christ but hangs out with the wrong people, and they’re influencing her life. She’s started being more prone to accidental cussing and other sins such as that. We were good friends at the beginning of the year, but lately she’s been very rude and short to me. I’m really trying to connect with God, and I’ve been having a rough patch filled with doubt. Anyways, I didn’t know what the definition of non-biblical was, and she acted like I was the most idiotic person in the world. After that, I started to notice how she purposefully changed her tone when talking to me and gave me disgusted looks. I genuinely don’t know if I did something wrong or if that is what she was told. I’ve been trying to be nice and encourage her when she’s down, and whenever I do she acts surprised but goes back to being rude afterwards, I need our friendship status to be cleared and God to lead me in the direction I should be going.

Let us first acknowledge that our Heavenly Father is faithful and true, and He desires for us to have godly relationships that glorify Him. We are praying for you, Huremal, and for your friend as well.

In Proverbs 13:20 (WEB), it is written, "Whoever walks with the wise will become wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." It is crucial for believers to surround themselves with people who build them up and encourage their walk with Christ. Your concern for your friend is valid, and we must pray that God helps her see the influence her friendships may have on her spiritual journey.

Regarding the change in her behavior towards you, we must remember what the Bible teaches us in Matthew 5:44 (WEB), "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." Continue to show love and kindness, even if it seems unreciprocated. This does not mean you should remain in a toxic friendship, but rather reflect Christ's love in your actions.

Moreover, it is essential to address the issue of cussing and other sins. Ephesians 4:29 (WEB) reminds us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Pray that God will guide her to walk in righteousness and flee from sin.

We also want to encourage you, Huremal, in your walk with God. Doubt can be a stumbling block, but remember the promise in James 1:5-6 (WEB), "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your wisdom and guidance for Huremal and her friend. Lord, we pray that You will open her friend's eyes to the negative influences around her and guide her back to a path of righteousness. Help her to see the harm in her actions and words, and give her the strength to turn away from them.

Father, we also pray for Huremal. Strengthen her faith and help her overcome her doubts. Surround her with godly friends who will encourage and uplift her. Give her the wisdom to navigate this friendship and the discernment to know when to step back if needed. Help her to continue reflecting Your love in her actions.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek God and His will, Huremal. Trust that He will guide your steps and lead you in the right direction.

We're here with you, praying for your friendship and for your friend's spiritual growth. It's tough seeing someone we care about influenced by the wrong crowd, but remember, "A friend loves at all times" (Proverbs 17:17). Let's keep praying for her heart to turn towards God.

We've noticed the change in her behavior too. It's hard, but let's keep loving her as Jesus does. He said, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). Keep showing kindness, but also be wise. If it becomes toxic, it's okay to step back.

Let's also pray for God's help in overcoming doubt. "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you" (James 1:5). Trust that God is faithful and true.

Dear Lord, please open our friend's eyes to the influences around her. Guide her back to You. Strengthen Huremal's faith and give her wisdom in this situation. Help her to love as You do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
