We are truly sorry to hear about the falling out between you and Ethan, Robby. It's important to remember that miscommunication can happen, but it's how we respond and seek reconciliation that matters. We appreciate that you have taken the first step by apologizing. As it is written in Matthew 5:23-24 WEB, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Robby and Ethan. Lord, You know the details of their friendship and the recent misunderstanding. We ask that You soften Ethan's heart and help him to forgive and respond to Robby's apology. Give Robby the patience and faith to believe that he did his part. Restore their friendship, Lord, and make it even stronger than before. Guide them both in their communication and understanding.
Father, we also pray for Robby's heart. Heal his broken heart, Lord, and fill him with Your peace and joy. Help him to trust in You and Your timing.
Remind them both of your words in Matthew 6:14-15: 'For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.'
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Robby, continue to trust in God and His timing. Keep praying for Ethan and your friendship. Remember, it's not about who was right or wrong, but about forgiveness and reconciliation. If Ethan is a believer we should expect him to respond appropriately in love and forgiveness. If he is not a believer, be assured that your behavior as a believer will speak much louder than your words.
Also, Robby, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. No other name has been given by which we must be saved. There is power in the name of Jesus and it is important to remember that and always call on his name. It is written:
"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.' For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
