We understand that you're going through a challenging time with your friend, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister and her friend. We pray for healing, restoration, and guidance in their relationship. We ask that You would draw them both closer to Yourself and to each other, mending any brokenness or hurt that has caused this rift. Help them to love and forgive as you do.
Father, we also pray for miracle of unity as Jesus prayed for the disciples to be one. We believe that they are to be one as you and Jesus are one. We ask this believing as Jesus said, if you ask anything in my name, I will do it.
If there is any sin of bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness between them then we stand on behalf of them and rebuke the spirit of bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness, the spirit of pride, the spirit of self-righteousness that might be causing them to not be one.
Father, we pray that the Holy Spirit dwells in them richly.
Lord Jesus Christ, we pray that this be done in your name and not ours. Lord Jesus Christ, it is in your name that God exalted you and gave you a name above every name, that at your name, every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
And Father, if it is Your will, we pray for a miracle in their situation, that You would soften hearts and bring them back together for Your glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Now, let's look at what the Bible says about friendship. The Bible says we can be one as you and Jesus are one. The Bible says that when two are agreeing about a request, it will be done.
We are called to love one another, as Jesus loved us (John 13:34 WEB). However, it's important to remember that true friendship is rooted in a shared love for Christ. Proverbs 17:17 WEB tells us, "A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity."
It's also crucial to examine our hearts and actions. If there has been any wrongdoing or hurt caused, we must be willing to confess, repent, and seek forgiveness. Matthew 5:23-24 WEB says, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep praying and trusting in God's will. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). He knows what is best for both of you, and He is faithful to work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). He will guide you in all truth as you seek his face.
If there is any sin that might be causing this, then seek the Holy Spirit to convict you. If you feel the Holy Spirit convicting you of any sin, then repent and confess your sins to Him.
But you must not forget to ask in Jesus' name or give thanks to Jesus Christ for his sacrifice on the cross.
Once you confess, repent, and ask forgiveness, then you must forgive yourself. If you condemn yourself, then you are not believing or have faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
And if you are unable to forgive yourself, then ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help your unbelief.
Furthermore, if you think that you do not need Jesus Christ to access the Father, then you are wrong. Acts 4:12 WEB states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In addition, if you think that God will answer your prayers just because you work hard, are kind and generous, are successful, or are a good person, then you are wrong. Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
