We are truly sorry to hear about your friend's struggles and the challenges she is facing.
Firstly, it is important to remember that our hope and refuge are in God, as it is written in Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We can approach Him with confidence, knowing that He hears our prayers and cares for our needs.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with self-harm and anxiety. Lord, You know her by name and You understand her pain and fears. We ask that You would surround her with Your healing presence and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding in Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would heal her niece of RSV and comfort the family during this time. We also pray for Your provision and favor over her job situation, that You would guide her steps and open the right doors for her in Jesus name.
Lord, we also pray for her complete healing and restoration. We know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would help her to overcome her struggles with self-harm and give her the strength to resist the temptation to harm herself in Jesus name.
Father, we also pray for her salvation, that she would come to know You personally and experience the transforming power of Your love. We reject the work of the devil to steal, kill, and destroy her life with self harm. We know that You have a good plan and purpose for her life (Jeremiah 29:11), and we ask that You would reveal that to her and give her the hope and strength to keep moving forward in Jesus name.
We also pray for you, that God would give you wisdom and discernment as you support your friend from afar. We ask that He would guide your words and actions, and give you His peace and comfort as well in Jesus name.
We ask all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
It is important to remind your friend that she is valued and loved by God, and that He has a purpose for her life. Encourage her to seek God's will for her life and to trust in Him, even in the midst of her struggles in Jesus name.
We also encourage you to help her seek godly support system. A support system is a positive buffer to the trials of life such as this.
(1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived. "Bad company corrupts good morals.")
Also, remind her that bad company influences others to sin against God, attract demons, and need deliverance. Pray for the bad company in her life to be removed or given the choice to stay and follow God's principles. She can't keep following the wrong influences if she wants to overcome this issue.
(Ephesians 5:11 Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.)
It is important she work to expose the temptations and sin rather than hide them.
In addition, it is also important to encourage her and everyone to refrain from all sexual immorality and impurity. Christians must not go so far as to even mention such things (Ephesians 5:3).
Finally, your friend has mentioned nothing about believing in Jesus Christ's salvation message. We assume that she believes this message but needs encouragement.
(John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.)
(John 3:3 Jesus answered him, "Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the Kingdom of God.")
(John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.)
(Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!)
Please continue to keep us updated on her progress so we can continue to pray for her and give her the counsel and support she needs.
