We are truly sorry to hear about the situation with your friend's father. In times like these, we must turn to God for healing and comfort.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is through faith in Jesus Christ that we receive great and mighty things. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." Let us ensure we are praying in the powerful name of Jesus, for it is the only name under heaven whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Now, let us pray together for your friend's father:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend's father to you. You know him by name, Lord, and you know his every need. We ask that you be with the doctors, that you guide their hands and minds during this surgery. We pray for a miraculous healing, that you would stop the bleeding and restore his body.
In the meantime, Lord, we ask that you comfort his family. Give them peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB), and fill them with your love. Help them to trust in you and to draw near to you during this difficult time.
Lastly, Lord, if there is anything that needs to be addressed in their lives, we pray that you would reveal it to them. Help them to be right with you, that they may experience your blessings and your healing power. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember the words of Jesus in Mark 11:24 WEB, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." Lastly, if your friend's father is not yet a believer in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to share the good news of salvation with him. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have eternal life and a personal relationship with God (John 3:16 WEB). Use this opportunity to show the love of Christ and to point him to the Savior.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
