Friends for my daughter

We understand your heartfelt concern for your daughter, ###, and we join you in prayer to seek God's will and protection for her. We claim the promise in Proverbs 18:24 (WEB), "A man with many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we come to You, seeking Your will for ###'s daughter. Lord, send her godly friends who will encourage her, support her, and help her grow in Your wisdom and stature. Protect her from exclusion and bullying, and help her to be a light in her peer group, reflecting Your love and kindness. Surround her with friends who will challenge her to grow in her relationship with You, Lord Jesus. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen."

Psalm 1:1-2 (WEB) reminds us, "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night."

In addition, ensure that your daughter knows that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Teach her to be a friend like Jesus was, and to choose friends wisely, who will sharpen her like iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Let's also remember Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."
