Friend needs freedom from life threatening drug addiction

Please pray for my friend to be freed from drug addiction. This has taken over his mind and his personality, but I refuse to let the enemy take my friend. His life is in danger. Please pray for God's mercy and for my friend's salvation; if he dies in this state, I know he is going to hell since he has not accepted Christ. He is surrounded by bad influences, so I'm praying the Lord will remove them all and replace them with people who will show him the love of Christ. I've tried to reach my friend and have been unsuccessful. Please pray that God will open a door for me to reach him if I'm the one who needs to speak to him. I'm praying that God will receive all the glory in how my friend is freed from this drug addiction and that he will finally know what true joy is like. Also praying that he will be a mighty man of God who will be able to help people no one else can reach. This young man is like my own brother, and his drug addiction has been so devastating.

Be their guide and guardian in all their endeavors, lead them in the path of your truth, and draw them nearer to you, that they may lead a godly and righteous life in your love and fear; doing your will in all things. Give them grace that they may be temperate, industrious, diligent, devout and charitable. Defend them against the assaults of the enemy, and grant them wisdom and strength to resist all temptation and corruption of this life; and direct them in the way of salvation, through the merits of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen
