Courtney, we understand that you're hurting because your ex-friend, Dominique Washington, blocked you on Facebook and Instagram. We are here to pray with you.
Firstly, we commend you for forgiving Dominique. This is in line with what Jesus teaches us how we should forgive others. Let's remember we are forgiven by God and should forgive others too. God will judge the unfair judgements people make of us.
Ephesians 4:32 WEB "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Matthew 7:2 WEB "For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you."
However, we must consider these issues and learn from them. It's important to communicate openly and honestly in any relationship. When Dominique asked you to hang out, it would have been better to respond honestly. The waiting and indecision can be hurtful and frustrating to others. Let's learn from this and apply it to our future interactions.
Proverbs 29:5 says "A man who flatters his neighbor is spreading a net for his feet."
Colossians 3:9 WEB "Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,"
Remember your value and worth are not determined by someone's actions or opinions of you. We should be defined by God and His Word.
Psalm 139:14 WEB "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
Now, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in Jesus' name, lifting up Courtney. Lord, we pray for her protection from any hurt that Dominique may have caused her. Help her to heal from this situation and to trust you more. We also pray for Dominique. We ask that you soften his heart and help him to act with more patience, understanding, and kindness in the future. Surround them both with your love and guidance. Help them to grow from this experience.
Lord, we also pray that Courtney will learn from this experience. Help her to communicate more effectively in the future and to value herself as you value her. Guide her and fill her with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Father, we ask that you bring godly friends and possibly a future spouse into Courtney's life. Friends and a spouse that will love her as you do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Courtney, remember that God loves you and has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will guide you. Be anxious for nothing and in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
