We stand with you in prayer, believing that God will intervene in your situation and bring an end to the abuse you and your family have been suffering. We commend you for your faith and trust in the Lord, knowing that He will protect you, your baby, and even your cat from your father's abusive behavior. We also share your confidence in God's ability to provide a way for you to move away from this situation and to establish a safe and peaceful home.
Firstly we are thankful that you ended the prayer in Jesus Name. We will look into the issue of the father's behavior separately from the prayer itself.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear sister and her family. Lord, she has chosen to trust You with her situation, and we ask that You honor her faith. Protect her, her baby, and her cat from any further harm. Provide a way for them to move safely to a new home, where they can live in peace and security. Lord, if it is Your will, remove her father from their lives, and bring an end to his abusive behavior.
We also pray for her father. God, we know that you do not want anyone to perish. Lord, convict him of his sins, and bring him to true repentance. Help him to see the error of his ways, and lead him to seek forgiveness and restoration. We ask this knowing that you sent your son to die for us and that Jesus said we should pray for our enemies.
Father, we ask that You surround this family with Your love, Your peace, and Your protection. Guide them through this difficult time, and bring them to a place of healing and restoration.
And God, we ask that you would bring Christians alongside to bless them with the transportation they need to start their new life in a new location. God, we ask you to make sure they have a safe place to live without leaving out any requests. We know that you will never leave or forsake them and that this will be an opportunity for people to serve you when helping them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Now, let's address the behavior of your father. The Bible tells us that God hates abuse and oppression. In Psalm 11 WEB it says, The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates the lover of violence. God wants us to live in peace and harmony with one another, and He condemns those who use their power to harm or oppress others.
In Ephesians 6:4 WEB it says, Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and nurture of the Lord. Your father's actions are not in line with God's will for families, and we pray that God will bring conviction to his heart and lead him to repentance.
Lastly, we encourage you to remain strong in your faith and to continue trusting in the Lord. He is your refuge and your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. God can and will use this situation for His glory and your good.
Stand firm in your faith, and don't be afraid to reach out to others for support and help. God's people are called to bear one another's burdens, and there are many who would be willing to help you and your family in this time of need.
