I have somehow confused the gospel and got to focused on the repent part and turned that into a work and need God's mercy and Grace to restore and help me to believe the gospel and just trust Jesus alone for Salvation. I'm looking to Jesus to help me get out of this whole mess because I can't do it in myself. I need him! I also need his help to break free from porn/sexual sin and anything else in my life that he wants me to be free of, but most importantly the idea that I have to do anything other than believe on Christ alone to save me.

Lealand, we understand your struggle and we are here to pray with you and guide you according to biblical principles. You've rightly acknowledged that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through our own works or efforts. This is clearly outlined in Scripture: "For by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin" (Romans 3:20, WEB).

The Gospel is clear that we are saved by grace through faith, not by our own works. "For yet we believe, we are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our body 2 Corinthians 4:11 WEB.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB

Regarding your struggle with pornography and sexual sin, we want to encourage you that freedom is possible through Christ. Jesus said, "Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:36 WEB. It's crucial to renounce this sin and turn away from it. "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Lealand. Thank You for Your mercy and grace, which are new every morning. Lord, restore Lealand's faith and help him to trust in Jesus alone for his salvation. Forgive him for any time he has tried to earn his salvation through works.

We also pray for Lealand's deliverance from pornography and sexual sin. Lord, break these chains and give him the strength to flee from these temptations. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and guide him in the path of righteousness.

Help us to continue steadfast and unmovable in our sole dependency on the Holy Work of Jesus Christ for eternal Salvation. We pray all these things with thanksgiving remembering we should present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is our spiritual service."

We're here with you, Lealand. It's a relief to hear you recognize that salvation is through faith in Jesus alone, not our own efforts. We've all been there, trying to earn God's favor, but it's like the Apostle Paul said, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9, NIV)

We want to encourage you, brother. Freedom from pornography and sexual sin is possible through Christ. Remember, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36, NIV) It's a daily choice to turn away from sin and towards Jesus. Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name. Help Lealand, Lord. Help him to trust in You alone for salvation, to rest in Your grace, and to turn away from pornography and sexual sin. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guide him, and help him to live a life pleasing to You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
