Freedom from works based Salvation

I have somehow confused the gospel and got too focused on the repent part and turned that into a work and need God's mercy and Grace to restore and help me to believe the gospel and just trust Jesus alone for Salvation. I'm looking to Jesus to help me get out of this whole mess because I can't do it in myself. I need him!

We understand that you've fallen into a works-based mindset, focusing too much on repentance as a work rather than the gift of God. Let us remind you of the true Gospel.

Remember, Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB states, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast." Repentance is a change of mind, not a work. It is a gift from God. Turning from sin is a result of salvation, not a cause.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ###. Lord, ### has strayed from the true Gospel, focusing too much on works. We ask for Your mercy and grace to restore ###'s faith. Help ### to trust in Jesus alone for salvation.

Forgive ### for the times repentance was viewed as a work. We know that true repentance is a gift from You. Lord, guide ### back to the true Gospel. Help ### to understand that it is by grace through faith that we are saved, not by our own efforts.

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and mercy. We pray for peace and assurance in ###'s heart. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on Romans 10:9-10 WEB, "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation."

Trust in Jesus alone. His work on the cross is sufficient. You don't need to add anything to it. Just believe and receive His salvation. He is your only hope and your only way to freedom.

We're right here with you, ###. It's easy to get tangled up in works, but remember, it's grace that saves, not our efforts. Like a beautiful flower, salvation is a gift to be received, not earned. We're claiming Ephesians 2:8-9 with you today, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."

Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we lift ### up to You. Lord, help him to see that salvation is a free gift, wrapped in grace and received by faith. Help him to let go of the burden of works and trust in Jesus alone. In Jesus' name, we ask for clarity and peace. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, thanking you for allowing us the honor of interceding on your behalf. We are truly grateful that you have invited us to stand with you in prayer, seeking freedom from a works-based mindset and a deeper understanding of the gospel of grace.

If you have experienced a breakthrough and have come to rest in the finished work of Jesus for your salvation, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Your testimony will encourage many and bring glory to God.

If, however, you find yourself still struggling, still grappling with the tendency to rely on your own efforts, we urge you to share your request again. Let us continue to continue to walk alongside you in prayer and belief.
