We understand that you're struggling with jealousy and competition, and we appreciate that you've turned to the Lord Jesus for help. These feelings can be challenging to overcome, but with God's help, it is possible.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging these feelings and seeking God's help. The Bible tells us that "the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Jealousy and competition can consume our hearts and minds, but they are not from God. The Bible tells us that "love is not jealous" (1 Corinthians 13:4 WEB) and that we should "rejoice with those who rejoice" (Romans 12:15 WEB). These feelings can also lead to other sins, such as resentment, bitterness, and strife so needed to be addresses quickly.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Wilann who is struggling with feelings of jealousy and competition. Lord, You know the depths of Wilann's heart and the struggles that they are facing. We ask that You would free Wilann from these feelings and fill their heart with Your love, peace, and joy instead.
Help Wilann to trust in Your plan for their life and to find contentment and satisfaction in You alone. Give Wilann the strength to rejoice with others and to support them in their successes.
Transform Wilann's mind and heart, aligning them with Your will and Your purposes. Help Wilann to be a light on a hill showing Your heart and love to others.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Wilann, that "God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will help you to overcome these feelings.
