We understand that you are seeking forgiveness for your actions and are experiencing anxiety about the potential consequences. First, let's address the forgiveness aspect. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9 WEB if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So, we can be assured that God forgives us when we confess our sins to Him.
However, we want to encourage you to also seek forgiveness from those you may have wronged, as Matthew 5:23,24 WEB says So if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Regarding your anxiety, remember in Philippians 4:6 WEB Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. So instead of anxiety, turn to God in prayer. Remember what we are admonished in Proverbs 14:29 WEB. He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly. This will help us not to quickly become angry.
Now, let's pray together.
Dear Jesus,
We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your forgiveness for their actions. We know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We thank you for that. Please help them to seek forgiveness from those they may have wronged, and grant them the courage to do so.
We also ask for Your peace to fill their heart and mind, casting out all anxiety. We know that You care for us, and we ask that You would guide them through this situation, providing for their needs according to Your will.
We also ask for you to help them control their anger and to not do it again.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep trusting in God, knowing that His mercies are new every morning. He will guide you through this situation.
