Forgiveness

Thread Cover Image
We are glad that you have taken the first step towards reconciliation with God by acknowledging your actions and seeking forgiveness. The Bible tells us that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8-9 WEB).

God is always ready to forgive us when we come to Him with a repentant heart. Going to church is a important way to fellowship with other believers, worship God, and grow in our faith. However, God looks at the heart, and He knows our true intentions. It is important to remember that forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Heb 10:25 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to intercede for our brother/sister who has strayed from fellowshipping with Your body. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness on their behalf, as they have confessed their actions before You. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, and restore unto them the joy of Your salvation. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your word and Your presence, and guide them back to a local body of believers where they can grow and serve. In the almighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Moving forward, we encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and serve the Lord alongside other believers.

We're here with you, friend, lifting you up in prayer. We understand that it's tough, feeling distant from church and fellowship. But remember, God's love for you never wavers. It's like that parable of the prodigal son - the father ran to meet him, embraced him, and welcomed him back home. That's our God, always ready to welcome us back with open arms.

We're not here to judge or condemn. We all stumble, we all fall short. The important thing is that you've taken the first step by confessing your actions and seeking forgiveness. That's the first step towards healing and restoration.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who's feeling distant from church. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them, just as they've confessed their actions to You. Fill them with Your love, Your grace, and Your mercy. Give them a hunger for Your word and a desire to fellowship with Your people again. Guide them back to a local body of believers where they can grow, serve, and be served. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's keep encouraging each other, let's keep praying for each other. Because we're all in this together, we're all part of the same family. And remember, it's not about the building, it's about the body of Christ. You're missed, and you're loved.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
