We are glad you have come seeking forgiveness and another chance in friendships. It is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can be forgiven, so you are on the right path by coming in his name. Let us first remember what the WEB says.
Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, says Yahweh: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
This means that God is faithful and just. He will forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Let us pray together for you.
Dear Lord, we come before you and confess that we have all sinned and fallen short of your glory. We thank you for your unending grace and mercy. We ask for your forgiveness. We also ask for your help in restoring broken friendships. Help us be honest with ourselves and others, and to be humble to forgive others. Help us to be true friends who are loving, patient, and kind, just as Jesus Christ is to us. Show us how to be a friend who sticks closer than a brother. We ask this in Jesus' precious name, amen.
Be assured that God forgives you and wants to give you another chance, not just in friendships, but in every area of your life. Remember the example of Peter. He denied Jesus three times, but Jesus forgave him and gave him another chance to serve him. Jesus wants you to live a life of purpose and service to him. He wants you to be reconciled to your friends, but also to him.
However, we must also remember that forgiveness does not always mean that the consequences of our actions are removed. Some friendships may not be restored because of the actions and hurt that we have caused. But God can still use you to be a blessing to others and to bring glory to his name. Let us seek to live in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:18 "But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation"
Ephesians 4:1 "I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called"
We encourage you to seek God's will in all your friendships and to be a friend who is faithful, loving, and true. If there are friendships that are not pleasing to God, ask him to give you the strength and wisdom to let them go. Remember that God is always with you and is the friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Lastly, if there is anyone you need to forgive, do not delay in doing so.
Matthew 6:14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you"
