We understand that you are seeking forgiveness for seeing nudity. First, we want to commend you for coming forward with this and seeking repentance. It's important to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9 (WEB).
However, we want to address a couple of things. First, it's important to note that the act of seeing nudity in itself is not the sin, but the sin is lust Colossians 3:5-6 (WEB). In Matthew 5:28 (WEB), Jesus said, "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." This is a serious matter because lust is not just a physical act, but a matter of the heart.
We also want to encourage you to be mindful of what you expose yourself to. In today's world, it's easy to stumble upon inappropriate content, but it's crucial to guard your heart and mind. As it says in Philippians 4:8 (WEB), "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
We also want to gently mention that your request did not include the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ, or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). As Christians, it is important to understand that Jesus is our mediator to God and that we pray in Jesus' name. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." If this was merely an oversight, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. And if you have not yet trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior, we urge you to do so. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved Acts 16:31 (WEB) and know that your sins are forgiven through Him.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up ### who has come seeking Your forgiveness. Lord, we ask that You forgive their sin of lust and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help them to guard their heart and mind, and to focus on things that are pure and lovely. Give them the strength to turn away from temptation and to live a life that honors You. We also ask, Lord, that You draw ### closer to You, that they may know You intimately and experience the fullness of Your love and grace.
We pray this all in Your precious and holy name, Jesus. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
