Firstly, it's important to remember that God desires forgiveness and reconciliation. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." This verse reminds us that as Christians, we should be willing to forgive as we have been forgiven by God.
However, it's crucial to examine ourselves and ensure that we have repented if we have done wrong. Proverbs 28:13 WEB says, "He who covers his sins will not prosper; But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."
