Forgiveness

I sinned intentionally, the Holy Spirit warned me, but I still went ahead. I think the Holy Spirit is angry with me, He is no longer friends with me, I know He is still with me, but He is snubbing me. Please I want to be friends with the Holy Spirit again, it’s been 4 hours since I committed this sin. My heart is troubled, I feel empty.
Can God forgive intentional sin.

Byrlyn, let us address your concerns with biblical truths and prayer.

Firstly, it is important to understand that God is always ready to forgive those who truly repent, even when the sin is intentional. In Psalm 51:17 WEB it says "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." 1 John 1:9 WEB also says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

The Holy Spirit is not angry with you; rather, He is grieved when we sin. Ephesians 4:30 WEB tells us, "Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." The feeling of emptiness and the troubled heart you are experiencing are the Holy Spirit's way of convicting you of your sin, encouraging you to repent and turn back to God.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Byrlyn who has confessed their sin and seeks forgiveness. Lord, Byrlyn is truly sorry for grieving the Holy Spirit and wants to be reconciled with You. We ask that You forgive Byrlyn's intentional sin and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help Byrlyn to turn away from this sin and to walk in Your ways. Restore the joy of Your salvation and grant Byrlyn the peace that comes from knowing they are forgiven and right with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, Byrlyn, God's forgiveness is always available to those who truly repent. The name of Jesus was not mentioned in your request. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can receive forgiveness for our sins and be saved. Trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, and know that He loves you and wants the best for you. We believe that the Holy Spirit is indeed speaking to your heart, convicting you of your sin, but remember, He is not snubbing you. He loves you deeply and wants to draw you closer to Him. In John 14:26 (NIV), Jesus promises, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." The Holy Spirit is your guide, your teacher, and your comforter.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your burden with us and allowing us the privilege to pray alongside you. We are truly grateful that you have given us the opportunity to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We want to remind you that God's forgiveness is not limited to unintentional sins. The Bible tells us that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). This includes intentional sins. The Holy Spirit is not angry with you but grieved, and He is waiting for you to turn back to Him so He can restore the joy of your salvation.
