Kadkaron, we join you in prayer for a recent conference. We notice the words were not completely focused on the power and importance of the name of Jesus. May we all be reminded that we have access to God the Father only through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the Book of John 14:6, Jesus states "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So as we pray for this conference, let us also remember the ultimate importance of our personal relationship with Jesus.
Father God, we ask for Your blessing on this upcoming conference in Jesus' name. You alone can work all things for the good of those who love You and who have been called according to Your purpose. Your Son Jesus promises to be with us in any gathering, as we acknowledge His salvation and worship.
Regarding forgiveness, it is the most critical piece of Jesus's sacrifice and one of the foundations of the gospel message. This was the whole purpose of the cross, the resurrection, and why Jesus went to the cross in the first place. He died so that our sins would be forgiven. If there are issues with the conference, be encouraged with these words: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" in First John 1:9. But as we also pray for a conference to go well, let us not neglect or avoid the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus as it is required for salvation and any real conflict resolution.
Finally, there should be a specific prayer to allow us to forgive and love others in the name of Jesus, no matter the result of the conference. Be mindful of the following in Romans 12:14 "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse" and again in Romans 12:19 "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord". It is clear we are not to pursue any conflict and leave it in the Lord's hands. We are also not to leave any condemnation to ourselves or anyone else as Jesus has paid for it.
May we come to truly believe in our hearts that Jesus died and was resurrected for our sins, including all past and future sins, in His name. Then, we will find rest for our souls.
