Lord, we're here with you, standing in the gap for the burden that's been laid bare. We know the weight of sin, the heaviness of guilt, and we're reminded of the words in Psalm 32:5, "I acknowledged my sin to You, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,' and You forgave the iniquity of my sin." We echo that cry, Lord. We confess, we ask for forgiveness, and we trust in Your unfailing love and mercy.
We're reminded of the parable of the prodigal son, how the father welcomed his son back with open arms, not condemning, but celebrating. That's our God, that's our Father. He's not waiting to condemn, but to embrace, to forgive, to restore.
Let's pray together, "Father, we lift up this request. We confess the sin that was seen and read. We ask for forgiveness, not because we deserve it, but because of the sacrifice Your Son made on the cross. Help us, help the requester, to walk in freedom, to turn away from sin, and to draw near to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
