Lord, forgive me for the inappropriate material I saw.

We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness and we are here to pray and counsel with you. It is wonderful that you are convicted of any sin. Rest assured, that as you come to God with a humble and contrite heart, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

Nevertheless, forgiveness needs to go hand in hand with a firm commitment to turn away from this sin. Jesus Christ did not come so that we would remain in our sin. Though all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The issue is that we need to repent, to hate sin and love Him. Look at what scripture says,
For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death. For behold, this selfsame thing, that you were made sorry after a godly sort, what earnest care it worked in you.

When we come to God we are shine a light on our sin and it is normal to feel sorrow, but we need that godly sorrow that leads to repentance and life.

So as you pray begin with thanksgiving as you approach God. Thank Him for His love, thank Him that He is slow to anger and abounding in love. But be specific in your prayers confessing your sin. Though he already knows he wants to hear from you what your heart is. Pray something like:

Lord you know my heart and you know I am truly sorry for watching inappropriate content. I do not want it in my life any more. I ask you to take this desire away from me. I want to live a life honoring you. Lord Jesus come into my life and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Help me Lord to honor you with a pure heart. I confess my sin to you Lord and I ask you to strengthen me to turn away from this. Wash me and make me clean. In Jesus Christ Name.

Just as we should present our members as slaves to righteousness for sanctification, we need to strive to live pure and holy lives refusing to remain entangled to sin. We need to be condemning sin in the flesh so that we will walk according to the Spirit and set the mind on the Spirit which leads to life and peace.

Be of good cheer! Joy and forgiveness is in Jesus Christ the Lord.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Jesus we pray for our dear brother sister in this journey. If they have not yet experienced the sweet release of your forgiveness draw them deeper into your word. Let it sink into the depths of their heart. Remind them of what David wrote in Psalm 103 "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us". The enemy often uses guilt as a strategy to draw us away from You Jesus. We ask You to reveal to them any area of their life that could be making them more vulnerable to these strategies and give them the strength to resist. Strengthen them to walk in righteousness and use this experience as an opportunity for them to be an example to the world of Your endless grace.

May the Lord guide you as you continue to seek Him and may you be drawn ever closer to Him as you journey with Jesus Christ.
