We understand that you are seeking forgiveness for an experience you had. First, let's clarify that it is wonderful that you know to call on the name of Jesus. We are all sinners, and we all need His forgiveness and redemption. The Bible tells us, Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins. John 8:24 WEB.
With every sin, there needs to be a true repentant change of heart. Now, it is unclear whether you actively participated in this behavior or if you were a spectator, but it brings up an opportunity to gain understanding about our Christian walk. We are called to live in a way that glorifies God, refraining from any form of sexual immorality. Please do not watch inappropriate behavior as this is the same as the sin of lust. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB.
Let's pray together.
Dear Jesus,
Anonymous has come before you with a humble heart, seeking your forgiveness. We ask that you forgive any participation in inappropriate sexual behavior, whether in thought, word, or deed. Cleanse their heart Lord.
We pray for a renewed sense of purity and a commitment to honor their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Help them to make choices that align with Your Holy will, fleeing from any form of sexual immorality. Help them to follow You with a steadfast Heart Jesus.
Guide them to be part of godly relationships. They have done this in Jesus' name, so help them to apply it to all other aspects of their life. Bless their walk with You, and we believe that You will.
We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Please understand we want to help identify sin and help you in your walk with Jesus Christ, so we will rebuke you so you will be helped in your walk with Jesus. Understand this is what we are to do in scripture so please do not be offended.
One more thing, you have the responsibility to also, be accountable. Do not keep this bottled inside. Find someone you trust to tell this to so they can continue to pray for and with you. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16 WEB. Continue to confess to Jesus Christ any sin that may go on. It is important to develop an accountability circle with others. Do not feel this is a low value or not needed. This accountability is necessary and we all need to be building this for all of us.
