Lucy, we are deeply saddened to hear about the abuse you experienced at Bible College. We stand with you in prayer and in seeking God's will for this situation.
Firstly, we commend you for your desire to forgive, as the Lord Jesus Christ instructs us in Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB), "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
However, we want to be clear that forgiveness does not mean tolerating or dismissing the sin of abuse. The actions of this man are gravely wrong, and his words and deeds are not in line with the conduct expected of a believer (Ephesians 4:29, 1 Timothy 5:2). We must rebuke such behavior, as Proverbs 28:4 (WEB) tells us, "Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; but those who keep the law contend with them."
We also want to address your statement, "My Husband is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 54)." While it is true that the church is the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27), this does not replace the earthly institution of marriage as intended by God (Matthew 19:4-6). We encourage you to seek God's will regarding earthly marriage and relationships.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifted up by the power of Your Holy Spirit. We ask for Your divine power to help Lucy forgive this man and his wife for the pain and humiliation they caused. Lord, You know the depth of her hurt. Please bring healing and comfort to her heart. Help her to cast all her burdens on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We also pray for justice, Lord. We ask that You expose any wicked deeds and bring them to light (Ephesians 5:13). We pray for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to fall upon this couple, that they may repent and turn from their sinful ways.
Finally, Lord, we pray for Your guidance in Lucy's life regarding her relationships. Help her to seek Your will and to trust in Your timing. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Lucy, please continue to seek support from your local church and trusted Christian friends. Consider professional Christian counseling if the trauma of this experience is overwhelming. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). He is always with you, and He loves you dearly.
