Asking God's forgiveness after having intimacy with my ex wife yet have a new wife at home

We understand your struggle, Benitez, and we want to help you navigate this situation in a way that honors God and seeks His will. Firstly, let's address the issue of intimacy outside of your current marriage. This is a serious matter, as it is considered adultery in the eyes of God. Hebrews 13:4 in the WEB states, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."

We must first acknowledge the sin and repent sincerely. Psalm 51:10-12 says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don't cast me away from your presence, and don't take your holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to seek Your forgiveness and mercy for Benitez. Lord, he has stumbled, but he is here, acknowledging his sin and seeking Your grace. Father, cleanse his heart, renew his spirit, and restore the joy of his salvation. Help him to turn away from this sin and to walk in obedience to Your word.

Lord, we also pray for his marriage. We ask that You would heal any hurt that this may have caused and strengthen his bond with his wife. Help them to rebuild trust and to grow together in love and godliness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Benitez, it's crucial to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we confess them to Him (1 John 1:9). However, it's also important to make things right with your wife, seeking her forgiveness and committing to be a faithful husband. We encourage you to seek counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor to help you navigate this situation and to grow in your walk with Christ.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It's by His name that we are saved. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you haven't already, we urge you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and for eternal life.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
