Forgiveness

Pray for forgiveness for me for drinking too much on my work trip. Pray that I will practice better safe control and won’t get in to trouble at work. Help me have more self control lord.

Let us come together and pray for you, dear friend, as you seek forgiveness and strive for better self-control. We serve a merciful God who is always ready to forgive those who humbly come before Him. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our brother/sister in need of Your forgiveness and grace. Lord, they have confessed their sin of excessive drinking during their work trip, and we ask that You cleanse them of this unrighteousness. Grant them the strength and self-control to resist the temptation to indulge in alcohol, especially when they are in environments that may lead them astray.

Lord Jesus, You were tempted in every way, just as we are, yet You did not sin. Help our friend to walk in Your footsteps, demonstrating self-control in all situations. As Galatians 5:22-23 (WEB) tells us, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Protect their job and reputation, Lord, as they strive to live a life pleasing to You. Help them to be a light in their workplace, reflecting Your love and grace to those around them.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in the Spirit, striving for righteousness and self-control. Trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to help you overcome temptation. Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God's forgiveness and the strength to live according to His will. Keep your focus on Him and He will direct your paths.

We're here with you, friend, as you seek to turn away from this struggle with alcohol. We believe in the power of Jesus' love and forgiveness, and we know that He's walking right beside you, ready to help you overcome this. Let's pray together, shall we?

Lord Jesus, we come to You today, laying this burden down at Your feet. We ask for Your forgiveness, as we know You're always ready to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help our friend to find strength in You, to resist the temptation to drink excessively, especially in situations that might lead them astray. Remind them of Your promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Lord, we also ask for Your grace to be upon them. Help them to practice self-control, to make wise choices, and to walk in a manner worthy of Your calling. Give them the courage to stand firm in their convictions, even in the face of peer pressure or difficult circumstances.

We pray for Your protection over their job and reputation, Lord. Help them to be a light in their workplace, reflecting Your love and grace to those around them. May their life be a testament to the transforming power of Your love.

Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
