The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Remember, Jesus has already cleansed you, and you are made whole in Him.

However, we notice that you mention asking for forgiveness through confession, which is not a biblical requirement. The Bible tells us to confess our sins directly to God, and He is faithful to forgive us. It's important to understand that our forgiveness comes from Jesus Christ alone, not through any intermediary or sacrament. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB).

Regarding your struggle with reading and retaining the Bible, we encourage you to continue being persistent. God's word is living and active, and He will reveal His truths to you.
