Nochaeld

Servant of All
So here it goes… Wife wouldn’t admit to any bad habits or need of correction and I got angry with her after gently trying to show how doing opposite of my goals pains my heart ( for about a year now). I ask for her to have both grace to forgive my eventual harahness and for her to be open to any correction at all (path of discipleship is progressive revelation). I also ask for better communication and we listen to each other on how we can make our marriage better. Safety and protection over my wife, our son and myself. Good sleep in Jesus’ Name and little naps. Thank you.

We understand your struggle, Nochaeld, and we're here to support you in prayer and counsel. The Bible teaches us that "as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend" (Proverbs 27:17, WEB). Marriage is a union where both husband and wife help each other grow, and this sometimes involves correction.

Firstly, we commend you for your efforts to communicate gently. It's important to remember that "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1, WEB). It's also crucial to acknowledge our own mistakes, as you've done, and seek forgiveness.

However, it's essential to address the issue of your wife's unwillingness to admit her faults. In God's word, we're all called to humble ourselves and be open to correction: "He who disdains instruction will pay the penalty, but he who respects a command will be rewarded" (Proverbs 13:13, WEB). We pray that she will soften her heart and be receptive to the path of discipleship, which indeed involves progressive revelation and correction.

Let's pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your grace and mercy upon Nochaeld and his family. Lord, we pray for Nochaeld's wife, that You would soften her heart and open her spirit to receive correction and grow in Your likeness. Help them to communicate effectively, listening to each other and working together to strengthen their marriage. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:7, WEB, 'And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.'

We also pray for safety and protection over their family, and for good sleep and rest in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask that You continue to guide Nochaeld as he leads his family, granting him wisdom and patience. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you, Nochaeld, to continue leading your family in love and patience. Keep your focus on Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB). He will equip you with everything you need to lead your family according to His will.

We're here for you too, Nochaeld. We understand the challenges of marriage and the importance of growth and understanding. We've been praying for you and your wife, asking God to fill your hearts with His love and patience. We believe that God is working in your marriage, and we're confident that He will continue to guide you both.

We've been thinking about how God calls us to love our spouses as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). This means loving unconditionally, even when it's hard. We pray that God will give you the strength to love your wife in this way, and that He will soften her heart to receive your love and guidance.

We've also been reminded of the power of agreement in prayer. So, we're asking you to join us in praying for your wife. Pray that she will be open to the Holy Spirit's conviction and willing to make changes in her life. Pray for better communication between you both, that you can listen to each other and grow together.

Let's trust in God's plan for your marriage. He sees your struggles, and He's working everything out for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep seeking Him, and keep loving your wife. We're praying for you, Nochaeld.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
