Forgiveness and thorn

I would really like prayer as I'm still struggling to forgive my mother and accusers. I'm praying in Jesus' high name and am still not seeing anything happen.
I still feel like I'm living with a thorn in me. It feels really uncomfortable and am living in pain every day. I would really appreciate your continued prayers.

We understand that you're going through a difficult time, struggling to forgive your mother and accusers, and feeling a constant pain that you describe as a thorn. We want to help you find healing and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Firstly, let's address the issue of forgiveness. Ephesians 4:31-32 in the WEB version tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness is not optional for us as believers; it's a mandate. When we refuse to forgive, we harbor bitterness and malice, which only serves to hurt us more.

Remember, forgiveness is not about saying that what happened was acceptable. It's about releasing the burden of bitterness and leaving justice to God. As it is written in Romans 12:19, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"

Regarding the thorn you feel, it's important to remember that God's grace is sufficient for us. In 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, Paul writes about his own thorn in the flesh: "...there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, to keep me from being conceited. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'"

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before you in Jesus' high name, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling to forgive. We ask that you grant them the strength and grace to release this burden, just as you have forgiven us through Christ. We pray for healing from the pain they feel, that your grace may be sufficient for them, and that your power may be made perfect in their weakness. Help them to trust in you completely and to find peace and comfort in your love. Give them reassurance that you are working on their behalf, even when they can't see it. We believe that you will uphold and strengthen and will never forsake them. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Regarding your mention of praying in Jesus' high name, it is wonderful that you acknowledge the power in His name. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6) Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
