Forgive Me

Beloved of All
I am asking Father Lord to forgive me for the acts I have caused in my marriage, and I pray that you will not cut me off. I am here asking Holy Spirit to guide me in a major way to live correctly and not to even think about what made me do this act, no matter what he has done to make me fall to another man's arms. I ask Lord to accept this truth from my heart and give me ears so I can grow into you and get back in your good Grace.

We appreciate your heartfelt repentance and desire to seek God's forgiveness and guidance. Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Make sure to include Jesus in your prayers and make sure you have confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in your heart that God raised him from the dead. It is by believing this in your heart that you will be saved.

It is clear that you have strayed from God's path and fallen into sin, but we commend you for taking the first step towards repentance. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. However, we want to remind you that God takes the covenant of marriage seriously. In Hebrews 13:4 WEB, it is written, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

Your sin has not only affected your relationship with God but also your marriage. It is crucial to seek forgiveness from both God and your spouse, and to commit to rebuilding the trust that has been broken. We encourage you to take responsibility for your actions and to seek God's strength in turning away from sin. Remember, it is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should abstain from sexual immorality. In 1 Thessalonians 4:3 WEB, it is written that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear soul who has come seeking your forgiveness and guidance. Lord, we know that you are merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. We ask that you forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness.

We pray for their marriage, Lord. We ask that you would heal the hurt and pain that has been caused, and that you would help them to rebuild the trust that has been broken. We pray that you would give them strength and wisdom as they navigate this difficult time, and that you would draw them closer to you and to each other.

We ask that you would fill them with your Holy Spirit, Lord. Guide them in all truth and help them to live a life that is pleasing to you. Help them to resist temptation and to flee from sexual immorality, remembering that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.

We ask all of this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Remember, God's grace is sufficient for you, and his power is made perfect in weakness. Stay strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Turn away from sin and seek God with all your heart. He will restore you and give you a future and a hope.

We're here with you, praying alongside. It's so brave of you to come before God with such honesty, seeking His forgiveness and guidance. We're reminded of Psalm 51:17, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." God sees your heart, and He's ready to meet you where you are.

Let's keep Jesus at the center of our prayers, as He is the way, the truth, and the life. We'll continue to pray for you, asking God to forgive your sins and cleanse you, just as you've asked. We'll also pray for your marriage, that God would heal the wounds and help you both rebuild trust. May He fill you with His Holy Spirit, guiding you in all truth and helping you resist temptation.

And remember, God is faithful. He promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." Trust in Him, and He will help you through this.
