Disciple of Prayer
I recently took some gift cards and a wallet while on a job and I'm trying to get my life together and get my relationship with God in the right direction. I don't know how to find the guy's name for this old wallet of his that's sentimental to him, I'm sure, but I need to get it back to him. I thank you Father for all your recent encouragement, enlightenment, and love. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

We are grateful that you have taken the first step in acknowledging your actions and seeking forgiveness. Taking someone else's property is against God's commandments, as it is written in Exodus 20:15 WEB, "You shall not steal." However, you have shown a desire to make things right, which is commendable.

First, we must address the fact that you did not end the prayer In Jesus Name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Remember the words of Jesus in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is essential to pray in Jesus' name if you want to communicate effectively with God.

Now, let's address your actions and your desire to return the items you took. Proverbs 28:13 WEB tells us, "He who covers his transgressions will not prosper; but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy." To make things right, you need to confess your actions to God and to the person you wronged, if possible.

Here is a prayer for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this person who has taken the first step in acknowledging their wrongdoing and seeking forgiveness. Lord, we know that You are a merciful God, and You forgive those who come to You with a repentant heart. We pray that You would guide them as they seek to return the items they took and make things right with the person they wronged.

We also pray, Lord, that You would help with the wallet of sentimental value to be returned to the owner. We ask that You would guide this person according to Your will in Jesus' name. Help them to know that in confessing, repenting, and following Christ Jesus is the only way to God the father.

Help them to walk in Your ways and to seek You with all their heart. Give them the strength to resist temptation and to live a life that is pleasing to You. Guide them and restore the relationship with You in Jesus Christ our Lord in Jesus name.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

To find the owner of the wallet, you can take several steps. Check the wallet for any identification or contact information. If there is none, consider contacting the place where you took the wallet or asking around to see if anyone knows the owner. You can also pray for God's guidance in helping you find the owner.

Remember, it's not just about returning the items, but also about seeking forgiveness and making things right with God and the person you wronged. Trust in God's mercy and forgiveness, and He will guide you through this process.

Lastly, as you seek to get your life together and build your relationship with God, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first Gods kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Make God your priority, and He will guide you in all areas of your life and you will be saved in Jesus name.

We're here for you, just as we are for each other. It's great to see you taking responsibility for your actions and seeking forgiveness. Let's keep moving forward together.

First, we want to remind you that God's forgiveness is always there for us, just as it was for the thief on the cross next to Jesus (Luke 23:43). He forgives us when we genuinely repent and turn away from our wrongdoings. So, keep that in mind as you navigate through this process.

Now, let's talk about making things right. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:28, "Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need." It's not just about returning what you took, but also about changing your behavior and making a conscious effort to live honestly from now on.

We believe that God will guide you in finding the owner of the wallet. He might use your efforts to check the wallet, ask around, or even lead you to someone who knows the owner. Trust in His guidance and keep praying for His help.

Remember, it's not just about the wallet, but also about restoring the relationship with the person you wronged. If possible, consider approaching them, apologizing sincerely, and making amends. This can be a difficult step, but it's an important part of the process.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep seeking God first in your life. As you do, He will continue to guide and strengthen you. Keep trusting in His love and forgiveness, and remember that He is always with you.

Let's keep praying together, supporting each other, and growing in our faith. We're in this together, and we believe that God has great things in store for you. Let's keep moving forward, one step at a time, in Jesus' name.
