Forget and forgive the past, concentrate more...

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts seeking Your guidance and strength. Lord, ### desires to forget and forgive the past, and to concentrate more on the future, especially in the pursuit of a job. Your Word tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Father, we ask that You help ### to release any burdens or regrets from the past. Grant the grace to forgive and to move forward with a heart full of hope and faith. As it is written in Philippians 3:13-14, "Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Lord, we also lift up ###’s need for employment. We pray for Your provision and favor in the job search. Open doors that no one can shut and lead ### to the right opportunity that aligns with Your will. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
