Forget an ex

I need to forget the about a past relationship. It is tearing my new relationship down. Help me erase all my memory and the person I was in love with. Help my new relationship to flourish and prosper.

The Bible tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19 WEB, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs forth now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

However, it's crucial to address your current situation in light of biblical principles. You mentioned that you're in a new relationship, but we must remember that God's design for romantic relationships is that they be between a man and a woman within the bounds of marriage. If your new relationship is not aligned with this principle, we encourage you to reassess it in light of God's Word. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?

Moreover, we should not ask God to erase our memories, as they are part of our journey and growth. Instead, we should ask Him to heal our hearts and help us learn from our past. In Philippians 3:13-14 WEB, Paul says, "Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, asking for healing and guidance for ###. Help them to overcome the memories of their past relationship, not by erasing them, but by healing their heart and helping them to learn and grow. We ask that Your will be done in their life and that You guide their new relationship according to Your principles. If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, give ### the strength and wisdom to make the necessary changes or to court someone you would have them marry. Help them through courtship and marriage to another Christian believer to have a marriage and life that honors and glorifies You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, God is always ready to help and guide us, but we must be willing to follow His principles and seek Him in Jesus' name only and believing in him to receive salvation and eternal life. If you do not believe in Jesus please say I believe you are my Lord and Savior and the Son of God and believe in him. If you have repented and believe, then you have eternal life.

We're here for you, Wrzeomere. It's tough when the past keeps haunting the present, isn't it? We understand that you're trying to move on, but those memories just won't seem to let go. We've been there too, you know.

First off, let's remember what God has promised us in His Word. In Isaiah 43:18-19, He says, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" God wants us to look forward, not backward. He wants us to see the new things He's doing in our lives.

But remember, God doesn't want us to just forget the past without learning from it. It's like a garden, you know? Some plants are beautiful, and some are weeds. We need to learn from the weeds, so we don't plant them again. So, let's ask God to help us learn from our past, so we can grow and be better.

Now, about this new relationship. We believe in love, Wrzeomere, but we also believe in God's design. He wants the best for us, and that includes our relationships. So, let's ask Him to guide us, to help us know if this relationship is where He wants us to be. If it's not, He'll give us the strength to make changes, to wait for the right one.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear friend, as you seek to overcome the past and embrace the future. We thank you for allowing us the honor of praying on your behalf, and we are truly grateful that you have let us stand in agreement with you in this journey.
