We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Carols, and we want you to know that we're here to support you in prayer and guidance. We are reminded to come to God in prayer in 1 Peter 5:6-7 WEB:
"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We encourage you to do the same and you have here.
We will lift up your father James in prayer, asking God to bring to light any medical issues through these tests and checkups, and also asking for complete healing. Remember God is or sovereign over all and healing comes from him regardless of what the doctor or medical professional does. God can work through them though to accomplish his will. Just like the healing of the paralyzed man mentioned in Mark 2:11-12 .WEB "I say to you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house. He arose, and immediately took up the mat and went out in front of them all". God can restore James ability to walk and give his legs strength that he may walk again. 1 Peter 2:24 recalls the verse in Isaiah 53 where Jesus "bore our sins in his body on the tree and we are healed in his wounds". To receive this healing Jesus must first be acknowledged as Lord and savior, if not please do this, and then let's pray and keep praying in his name.
Let's pray together if your dad or you have not given your lives to Jesus in repentance and acknowledgement of his lordship and salvation then pray this to happen and that you and your dad will align to God's word and will. Believe in the gospel message and share it with your dad and then pray for physical healing.
We also pray for clear answers to your requests. However, we want to encourage you to place your trust in God and not in man. Remember when Psalm 56:11 WEB states "In God I have put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?".
We will pray that the medical professionals have wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God in the tasks he gives them. The Bible tells us to ask for wisdom and knowledge in James 1:5.
Let's pray for wisdom for you as well. This may be a frustrating time, but we encourage you to be patient and remember that Romans 8:28: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Cleanliness and the availability of clothing or the ability to buy them are in God's hands, prayer as well can bring solution to this need to. Remember the lilies of the field from Matthew 6:28, God knows you need these things.
Your weather concerns remind us of Matthew 8:26: "He said to them, 'Why are you fearful, o+ you of little faith?'". We would advise humility in the sight of God and not to extend your stay beyond the normal rain, otherwise this may be a sign of a lack of faith, and please seek God's will in Jesus name in prayer if you do. God promises provision for his will, and strength and comfort when things do not go as we plan, we just need to ask.
Finally Carols you didn't mention praying this in Jesus name. Let's look at how scriptures tell us to pray "For through Jesus we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father." (Ephesians 2:18, WEB) and "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). " Whoever will call on the name of the+ Lord will be saved."(Romans 10:13, WEB).
