Let us come together and pray for your husband and your marriage, knowing that God's will is for marriages to be strong and holy. We stand with you in the power of Jesus' name, for He alone has the power to break strongholds and bring clarity.
Firstly, it is important to remember the warning in Proverbs 5:3-5 WEB: "For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil, But in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol." This highlights the danger of being lured by someone other than your spouse.
We pray that God will open your husband's eyes and give him a spirit of discernment. In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spiritual stronghold that this strange woman may have over your husband. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB: "for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage and this man whom the enemy is seeking to destroy. Lord, You have said that what You have joined together, let no man separate (Mark 10:9 WEB). We stand on Your Word and we pray for this marriage to be strengthened and restored.
Father, we ask that You break any stronghold that this strange woman has over our brother. Open his eyes to see the truth and give him the strength to resist temptation. We pray, Father, that You would bring conviction of his sin and the grace to seek forgiveness.
We pray for clarity of mind, and a heart that longs to follow You alone. We pray that You would bring to mind the vows he made before You and his wife. May he return to his wife and honor her as Your Word commands (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
We also pray for the strange woman, that You would reveal to her the error of her ways and bring her to repentance. We pray that You would bring godly people into her life to guide her and lead her to a life that honors You.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your grace. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is faithful and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this trial.
