We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your husband's departure, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring restoration and repentance.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise given in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." God desires that your husband repents and returns home, just as you do.
In this moment it is an opportunity for you to call out as the psalmist does in Psalm 27:7-8, "Hear, Lord, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also on me, and answer me. When you said, 'Seek my face,' my heart said to you, 'I will seek your face, Lord.'". It is a difficult trial for you but God will not give you more than you can bear. So we have to trust in God and the plan that he has for both you and your husband.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11).
We pray together for your husband right now
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister and her husband to You. Lord, we ask that You convict his heart and bring him to true repentance. Turn his heart back towards his wife and son, and restore their marriage and family. Lord we ask that you help the entire family to seek you. In Jesus name we ask that you turn this trial into a blessing. Expose any sin that needs to be confessed, forgiven, and repented of.
Lord, we also pray for this dear sister, that You would comfort her, strengthen her, and give her the grace and wisdom needed to face this trial. Help her to trust in You and to rest in Your promises.
We claim John 16:33 for this moment, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
In Jesus' name, we pray for forgiveness and restoration, Amen.
In this time, continue to be a godly example to your husband and pray for him fervently. Be encouraged by the words of James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Trust that God is working in your husband's heart and in your marriage.
Lastly, remember the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God can turn this situation around for good and for His glory. Trust in Him, and remain steadfast in prayer and faith.
