We are so glad to hear from someone seeking salvation. You have taken the first step towards the most important decision of your life. Let us start with the scripture you mentioned.
Yet, it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that any of this is possible. This is because it is only by this name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says, Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved.
Therefore, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9-10.
Acknowledging Jesus as Lord means you surrender your life to Him. You acknowledge that He is in control and want to live by His standards and commands. You want to follow and obey Jesus.
Believing that God raised Him from the dead shows that you accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for your sins. You believe that He died to pay the penalty for your sins and that He rose again, conquering death.
But as you have also mentioned and taking this decision of believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth, makes your life entirely different now. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
It is important to remember that when you become a Christian, the Holy Spirit of God enters your spirit and you are a new creation as mentioned above. This means that the old you, the sinful you, has passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Now let us pray.
Almighty God,
We come before You, asking for Your mercy and grace for this person seeking salvation. We pray that You will open their heart and mind to understand the gospel message. Help them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the faith to turn from their sins and follow Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you have grown in your faith, it is important to read and study the Word of God. We applaud your initiative to start with the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These books will give you a great foundation for your faith, showing you the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
But remember, studying the Bible is not just an academic pursuit. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
So, approach your Bible study with a humble heart, ready to be taught, reproved, corrected, and instructed. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and reveal the truth to you.
We are here for you. If you have any more questions or need further guidance, do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help you grow in your faith and walk with Jesus.
