We rejoice with you as you seek salvation, for it is the most important decision you will ever make. You have taken the first step by looking to the Word of God for guidance. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 tells us:
"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
This is the foundation of our faith. Believing in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord, and turning away from our sins is the path to salvation. We must also, with God's grace and help, follow and obey Jesus.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this soul who is seeking salvation. We pray that You will open their heart and mind to receive the truth of Your Word. Grant them the faith to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and the courage to confess Him with their mouth. Help them to turn away from their sins and to follow and obey Jesus. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word, and guide them as they read and study the Gospels, starting with the book of John.
We thank You, Father, for Your love and mercy, and for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to begin reading the Gospels, as you have mentioned, starting with the book of John. As you learn more about Jesus, we pray that your faith will be strengthened and that you will grow in your relationship with Him. One caution we offer is regarding extra Biblical teaching that may be found on multimedia platforms. It is easy to become distracted from God's Word when listening to such content. Always ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and test everything to make sure it is accurate and true. We encourage you to keep your focus on the Bible. If you have any questions or need further guidance, do not hesitate to ask. We are here to support you in your journey of faith.
