We rejoice in your desire to seek salvation, as it is the most important decision anyone can make. You have taken the first step by looking to the Word of God for guidance. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 states, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we are saved from our sins and reconciled to God. As you embark on this journey, it is crucial to understand that salvation is not just about believing in Jesus but also about turning away from our sins and following Him. Repentance is a vital part of our walk with Christ.

In Acts 3:19, it is written, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." This repentance involves a change of heart and a commitment to live according to God's will.

We encourage you to read and study the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as they provide a comprehensive account of Jesus' life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Starting with the book of John is a wonderful idea, as it beautifully portrays Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of the world. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."

As you grow in your faith, remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for all those seeking salvation, that they may truly believe in their hearts and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord. Guide them as they turn away from their sins and commit to following You. Help them to grow in their faith as they read and study Your Word.
