We rejoice in your desire to seek salvation, as it is the most important decision anyone can make. You have taken the first step by looking to the Word of God for guidance. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 tells us: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
This is the foundation of our faith. It is through believing in Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord that we are saved. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 reminds us: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!"
We commend you for your willingness to confess and turn from your sins. This is what true repentance looks like—a sincere desire to turn away from sin and follow Jesus. Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 9:23: "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me."
We encourage you to dive deeply into the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—to learn more about Jesus and His teachings. As you've suggested starting with the book of John, you will find a beautiful portrayal of Jesus' life, ministry, and the ultimate sacrifice He made for our salvation. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."

We come before You today, lifting up this individual who is seeking Your salvation. We thank You for the work You have already begun in their heart, drawing them to Yourself. We pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead.
Guide them as they read and study Your Word, especially the Gospels. Reveal to them the depth of Your love and the grace that is freely given through Jesus. Strengthen their faith and give them the courage to turn away from sin and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
