As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 states, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." This is the core of the salvation message.
Believing in Jesus Christ is not just about intellectual assent, but also about a heartfelt conviction that leads to a changed life. As you have mentioned, turning from your sins, also known as repentance, is a crucial part of this process. Repentance involves a sincere desire to change your life and align it with God's will.
We encourage you to follow through with your commitment by diving into the Word of God. Start with the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and especially John. The Gospel of John is a beautiful account of the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Remember, it is only through Jesus that we are saved and this is only by His name that we have access to God.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this individual who is seeking salvation. We thank You for softening their heart and drawing them to Yourself. We pray that as they confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord, they will be saved. Help them to turn from their sins and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
Guide them as they read and study Your Word. Open their eyes to the truths contained within the Gospels, and may the words come alive in their heart. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and a desire to know You more.
