We rejoice with you as you seek salvation, for it is the most important decision you will ever make. You have highlighted the fundamental truth from Romans 10:9-10, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." This is the essence of the gospel, the good news that brings us into a right relationship with God.
We want to encourage you to truly understand your calling and confess and turn from and forsake your sins. Turning from your sins is an important part of coming to Jesus Christ. Faith and belief in Christ is much more than acknowledging Jesus as a historical figure or even as a divine being, we believe and trust in Him alone for salvation. It is trusting in His sacrifice on the cross as the full payment for your sins. Please spend time in God's Word daily to understand more about Christ, His life, and His saving work.
We encourage you to study the Word of God, beginning with the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with a special focus on the book of John. These books will reveal to you the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As you read, pray that God will open your heart and mind to understand and apply His truths to your life.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who is seeking salvation. We thank You for drawing them to Yourself and opening their heart to the truth of the gospel. We pray that they will confess and turn from their sins, and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord and that You raised Him from the dead. Help them to understand the magnitude of Your love for them and the sacrifice that Jesus made on their behalf.
Guide them as they read and study Your Word, and give them the wisdom and understanding to apply Your truths to their life. Surround them with Your love and peace, and help them to grow in their faith and relationship with You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
