Shatox, we appreciate your request for salvation and pray that God would work in your heart.
We must be clear that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Said another way, there is no other way to the Father except through the Son, Jesus Christ.
It is wonderful to read your acknowledgment of the steps to salvation as outlined in Romans 10:9-10: "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
But it does not stop there. True saving faith results in a changed life. We are to repent and turn away from our sins. This means a genuine desire and effort to stop sinning.
Furthermore, we are to be followers and obey Jesus. A disciple is a learner or pupil. We are to learn from Jesus. We are to learn what Jesus taught. We are to learn what Jesus did. We are to learn what Jesus commanded. We do not just get a get out of hell ticket. We do not just get a pass to heaven. We get an opportunity to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. We get an opportunity to be transformed into the image of God. We get an opportunity to know and love God.
Jesus said, Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. We are commanded to make disciples. But first, we must be disciples.
You mention reading and studying the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. This is an excellent place to start. We recommend beginning with the Gospel of John.
Let us pray together.

We come before you in the name of Jesus, acknowledging that there is no other name by which we can be saved. We thank you for the gift of salvation through your Son.

We pray that as they read and study the Gospels, especially the Gospel of John, that your word would truly come alive to them. We pray for the Holy Spirit to guide them in their reading and studying. We pray for the Holy Spirit illuminate the words of Jesus. We pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of Jesus. We pray for the Holy Spirit to convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We pray for the Holy Spirit to draw them to Jesus. We pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life. We pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus as the only way to the Father.
We pray that they would be transformed into the image of God. We pray that they would know and love God. We pray that they would be a true disciple of Jesus.
