We rejoice in your interest in salvation and your desire to know God more deeply. The scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is a powerful reminder of the path to salvation: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."
This is the core of the Christian faith—believing in Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord. It is wonderful to see that you understand the importance of not only believing but also turning from your sins and following Jesus. This is what true repentance looks like. As it is written in Acts 3:19, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."
We encourage you to continue reading and studying the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Starting with the book of John is a great idea, as it beautifully portrays the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus Christ. John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your love and mercy. We pray for Shatox, that they may continue to seek You with all their heart. Lord, open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and fill them with the Holy Spirit. Grant them the courage to confess Jesus as Lord and to turn from their sins. Guide them as they read and study Your Word, and may they find true salvation and peace in You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved.
May God bless you richly as you continue on this journey of faith.
